A narrow sample ring may not fit the same way as a wide or sculptural band. Have the intended finger measured with a sizer close to the planned band width whenever possible.
Measure at a normal time
Temperature, activity, hydration, swelling, joints, and time of day can change finger size. Avoid measuring only once under unusual conditions.
Share anything that affects the fit
Mention a larger knuckle, rings that already fit, how snug you like a ring, your dominant hand, and whether you plan to wear it every day.
