Most detailed character commissions fall between $1,500 and $3,500. Simpler engraved or symbolic work begins at $900. Full sculptural character rings generally begin around $2,700.

This includes unusually large pieces, extensive enamel, specialty materials, and designs that need extra handwork.

The first estimate helps you decide whether to continue. Once the sketch is approved, you receive the final price before production begins.
Payment schedule
Payments are spread across the project.
Most commissions start with a $250 design fee. It is credited to the finished piece and becomes non-refundable once design work begins. The fee includes 1 concept and up to 2 revision rounds. After you approve the sketch and final price, complex commissions generally require half of the remaining amount before CAD or other detailed design work starts. After you approve the CAD, the last payment is due before casting or before materials and stones are purchased. Simpler projects that do not use CAD may require the remaining payment before production. Any change to this schedule will be included in your written quote.

$250 design fee
The fee goes toward the finished piece and becomes non-refundable once design work begins. It includes one concept and up to two rounds of changes.
First production payment
For complex work, half of the amount left after the design fee is generally due after you approve the sketch and final price and before CAD begins.
Approve CAD and pay the balance
If the project uses CAD or another detailed design, you approve it before the last payment is due. That payment is collected before casting or before materials and stones are purchased. Your quote will explain the payment schedule for simpler work without CAD.
Simple example
A $2,000 final price
After the credited $250 design fee, $1,750 remains. For a complex commission using the usual schedule, the first production payment would be $875 and the final payment would be $875.
A simpler project without CAD may use a different schedule. The exact dates and amounts will be listed in your quote.
