Quotes and Project Acceptance

A quote request does not require payment and does not guarantee acceptance. Requests are reviewed for feasibility, comfort, durability, production requirements, capacity, and fit. If accepted, the customer receives an estimated price range before the design fee is requested. An estimate is not the final quote.

Design Fee, Concept, and Revisions

Most accepted commissions require a $250 design fee. The fee reserves the customer's position in the queue, begins design work, applies toward the final jewelry cost, and becomes non-refundable once design work begins.

The design stage includes one initial concept and up to 2 revision rounds. A revision round is one organized list of requested changes submitted after reviewing the current design. Major changes in direction, additional concepts, revisions beyond the included rounds, or new requirements introduced after approval may affect cost or schedule. Additional cost must be explained and approved first.

Sketch Approval, Final Quote, and Payment

The customer approves the sketch before the final quote. After sketch approval and the final quote, the remaining balance is due in full before CAD, materials, outside services, or production begin. No additional charge is added without customer approval.

If a customer cancels, refund eligibility depends on the stage of the project. The design fee is non-refundable after design work begins. Completed work, ordered materials, CAD, committed outside services, and other committed costs may be non-refundable after production payment.

Customer-caused delays can affect the schedule. A completion date is an estimate unless a specific deadline is accepted in writing.

Sizing, References, and Permission

The customer is responsible for providing the intended ring size, useful references, accurate priorities, and other requested details. Not every ring can be resized. Customers retain their rights in their character, fursona, personal symbols, and submitted artwork, subject to the rights of the original creator, and must have permission to use submitted material.

Technical Production Changes

Small technical adjustments may be needed for strength, comfort, casting, stone security, or production quality. Meaningful visual changes are discussed and approved before proceeding. Established U.S.-based jewelry professionals may assist with specialized production work.

Shipping, Customs, and Warranty

Shipping may be included or charged separately depending on the quote, destination, and method. Approved shipping, insurance, customs, import fees, or other destination charges must be paid before shipment where applicable. Customs and import charges are the customer's responsibility unless otherwise agreed in writing.

The One-Year Limited Warranty & Repairs page states the current written warranty. Arrival issues should be reported as described there.

Artwork, Files, Portfolio, and Privacy

Lunar Forgeworks retains its own sketches, CAD files, production files, prototypes, process materials, photographs, and videos unless otherwise agreed in writing. The exact commissioned design will not be reproduced for another customer without permission.

Finished jewelry and approved process content may be used in the Lunar Forgeworks portfolio, Discord, website, and social media. Customers who require privacy must disclose it before paying the design fee. Addresses, payment details, private conversations, and other private customer information are not publicly shared.
