Design, payment, stones, sizing, shipping, and what happens to your artwork. The longer policy pages are linked where they matter.
Commission basics
Starting a project
What do you make?
Lunar Forgeworks creates fully custom jewelry inspired by character art, fursonas, animals, personal symbols, and original designs. Most commissions are rings, pendants, charms, and medallions.
How do I request a quote?
Share references, the type of piece, sizing, materials, stones, budget, deadline, and must-have details through the quote process. No payment is due merely to request a quote.
Do you accept every request?
No. Projects are accepted only when I believe the idea can be translated into comfortable, durable jewelry that meets my quality standards.
How much does it cost?
Simpler custom silver designs start at $900. Detailed sculptural work, stones, larger pieces, complex finishes, gold, and platinum are quoted after review.
How long does a commission take?
Timing depends on design complexity, revisions, CAD, materials, casting, setting, engraving, enamel, finishing, outside specialists, and shipping. Completion dates are estimates unless a deadline is accepted in writing. I would rather take additional time to correct a problem than rush a piece that does not meet my standards.
Design and approval
Keeping the idea recognizable
How many revisions are included?
One initial concept and up to 2 revision rounds are included. A revision round is one organized list of requested changes after reviewing the current design.
Will I approve the design before production?
Yes. You approve the sketch before the final quote and production.
Why might a design need to change?
Details may need adjustment for strength, comfort, scale, casting, stone security, maintenance, or wearability. Meaningful visual changes are discussed before proceeding.
Who makes the jewelry?
I oversee design direction, communication, approvals, production planning, and final quality review. Depending on the project, established U.S.-based jewelry professionals may assist with specialized work such as sketching, CAD, casting, stone setting, engraving, enamel, polishing, and finishing. Every finished piece is inspected before shipment.
Materials and stones
Metal, color, and settings
What materials do you use?
Silver, gold, and platinum are all on the bench. The design, daily wear, and budget usually make the choice clear. Argentium or sterling silver works well for crisp detail, darkened recesses, and a bright, cool finish. The alloy depends on the design and how the piece will be made. Gold brings color and warmth. Platinum brings weight and a quiet white finish. Availability and pricing are confirmed with the quote.
Can gemstones be added?
Yes, when the design has room for a secure setting and the stone is suitable for the intended wear.
Can the eyes be different colors?
Yes, when appropriate stones are available and secure placement is possible.
Can you match exact character colors?
Stones, enamel, oxidation, engraving, texture, and finish contrast may interpret color, but exact screen-color matching is not always possible.
Is enamel available?
It may be discussed depending on the design, scale, durability needs, and production route.
Payments and cancellation
When money is due
How does payment work?
Most accepted commissions begin with a $250 design fee. It holds the project's place, starts the design, and goes toward the finished piece. Once design work begins, that fee is non-refundable. One concept and up to 2 revision rounds are included. After the sketch and final quote are approved, the balance is due before CAD, materials, or production. Nothing extra is charged without approval.
What happens if I cancel?
The design fee becomes non-refundable once design work begins. After production payment, completed work, ordered materials, outside services, and other committed costs may be non-refundable. Any available refund depends on how far the commission has progressed.
Can the cost change?
The final quote is confirmed after sketch approval. No additional cost is added without your approval.
What payment methods are available?
Stripe may provide card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and eligible bank options. Wise supports transfers where available. PayPal is available upon request. A larger final balance may use a bank transfer arranged in advance. Options can vary by country.
Sizing and shipping
Practical order details
How do I find my ring size?
Have the exact finger measured by a local jeweler. Wide or heavy rings may fit more tightly than thin bands. Review the ring-sizing guidance.
Is shipping included?
Shipping may be included or charged separately depending on the quote, destination, and method.
Do you ship internationally?
International availability is not yet confirmed. Ask about the destination before ordering.
Who pays customs or import charges?
Outstanding customs, import fees, or other approved destination charges are the customer's responsibility unless otherwise agreed in writing.
