Choose the metal with the piece in mind

Silver, gold, and platinum are all on the bench. The design, daily wear, and budget usually make the choice clear. Stone and finish come into the same conversation.

Cool and luminous

Argentium Silver

Argentium may provide improved tarnish resistance and a bright appearance when it is appropriate, available, and compatible with the production method. It can still tarnish and is not used automatically for every order.

Versatile and established

Sterling Silver

Sterling silver is a reliable choice for detailed work, fabrication, casting, repairs, and high-contrast finishes. It earns its place on the bench.

Warmth, weight, and permanence

Gold and Platinum

Gold brings color and warmth. Platinum brings weight and a quiet white finish. Availability and pricing are confirmed with the quote.

Stones

Moissanite and Other Gemstones

Lab-created moissanite is durable, bright, and available in colors that can work well for character eyes and accents. It is not the rare natural microscopic material sometimes discussed in meteorite history.

Natural and other lab-created gemstones may also be discussed. Recommendations consider durability, size, cut, color, availability, setting security, budget, and maintenance. Digital-screen color cannot always be matched exactly.

Surface and color

Details can come from contrast, depth, and texture.

Engraving, oxidation, polish contrast, texture, raised and recessed details, enamel where appropriate, and mixed finishes can separate features without trying to paint every screen color. Each technique has maintenance, scale, and production limits.

Engraving and relief

Lines, markings, names, symbols, and layered forms can become cut, raised, or recessed metal details.

Oxidation and polish

Darkened recesses and mixed polish can create contrast, but finishes can change with wear and may need maintenance.

Enamel and stones

Color may be added when the scale, setting, production route, durability, and maintenance needs are appropriate.
